Today i googling that VBR can connect to the VDC for backup repository. Anyone ever using this scenario? And if VBR conencted to VDC is there any additional cost?

Hi

Yes, many customers are using it.
It‘s called Veeam Data Cloud Vault.

And yes, our backup storage service will cost (two editions available, per TB pricing).

I explored this recently and confirmed with Veeam that VDC integration depends on the provider’s setup. If they support Cloud Connect or object storage, it works well. I recommend checking with your provider for access details and pricing.

@waqasali

Not true, there is no „provider dependency“.

Yes, you can get VDC Vault through a Veeam Service Provider, but there is no hard requirement for that.

VDC Vault can be directly used by our customer without involving a provider.

It‘s the customers choice if he want to use Vault directly from Veeam or through a Veeam Service Provider.

Best,

Fabian

Thanks, @Mildur that clears it up! I had assumed VDC Vault required a provider, so it’s good to know customers can choose to use it directly or through a Veeam Service Provider. Appreciate the clarification!
