Hi everyone đ
Â
With so much Veeamazing content being produced daily, itâs great if we can keep this all tidy.
Â
Once thing Iâve noticed recently is an increase in content thatâs been miscategorised.
Â
When creating a topic, such as this one, the very first thing youâre asked is âWhat kind of topic are you creating?â
Â

Â
Today I want to discuss, when is a âQuestionâ appropriate?
Â
To put simply, a question should be chosen when you are in need of a specific answer for your needs/information. This would be questions that have a specific goal in mind, and can clearly be defined.
Â
Examples include:
âHow do I create a backup job to tape?â
âWhere do I find the latest patch for Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365?â
âWhy does Veeam keep reporting low disk space on my backup job?â
âWhen does Veeam plan to release VBR v12â
âWhat is a backup chain?â
Â
But sometimes, questions arenât really questions in the sense of a question & answer, but instead, theyâre more around guidance and opinion. The confusion is typically when people are questioning others on how they do things. These are when itâs more appropriate to choose âContentâ.
Examples include:
âHow frequently do you backup to tape?â
âWhat object storage do you recommend?
âWhere is everyone saving object backups to?â
âWhen should you use immutability?â
âWhy use Veeam?â
Â
