HelloTell me, veeam has the ability to backup local SharePoint (on-prem), the databases for sharepoint are used sql cluster, the databases are similar to on-prem, how to properly backup and restore data.I find mostly information about SharePoint365.

Hi,

I see two options:

1: You can use VBR (Veeam Backup & Replication) to backup the on-prem virtual servers that are running SQL with enabled AAP (just as a VM backup)

2: You can use VBO (Veeam Backup for O365/M365) and add an on-premise organization to backup SharePoint

For option 2 here’s an article that described the steps:

Adding On-Premises Microsoft Organizations - Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 Guide

Keep in mind that both solutions require different licenses!

Best

Lukas

Kinda to piggy-back off of Lukas’ suggestions, here is a Veeam blog post covering how you can backup Sharepoint:

https://www.veeam.com/blog/sharepoint-backup.html

If you’re using SQL Clusters, see below info/reference:

https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backup/plugins/mssql_plugin_cluster.html?ver=120 ← this is the only option you have if you use SQL Failover Clustering, btw as noted by a great chart in the Veeam Best Practice Guide:
https://bp.veeam.com/vbr/4_Operations/O_Application/mssql_server.html

Hope some of this info helps. Let us know.

Best.
