I am sure there will be more coming. Maybe remote software malware is the theme for 2024. 😋
Having people work remotely, deploying more infrastructure in the cloud and being able to attack remotely while connected to a high-speed internet connection, this method is becoming more prevalent.
I do believe that, to hit a “large enterprise” which spends millions in cyber sec, the best way to do it is by infecting the “sub contractors”, clients or free lancers, those who dont have the budget to be at the ultimate stage of security, and the remote access tools after the pandemic became very popular, and those are heavely used by “none rich” companies, a good target to jump later on into the giant ones.
Just my personal thoughts and experience here.
cheers.
