First of all, the Veeam Scenario Builder is great if you have multiple workloads and sites.

But after creating the report some things are missing for me to be able to understand later what I entered in the Sizer (i can only see required Compute, Storage und Network). After sizing, it is no longer possible to see what was entered during sizing.

It would be good if the sizing report were extended to include at least the following
- Detailed Workload overview per site including
○ Retention
○ Growth Rate
○ Daily Change Rate
○ …
- Detailed overview of Backup Copy Jobs (same information like the primary jobs)
-Forecast period

(Basically, everything I specified in the sizer would be fine. The points above would be the minimum for me. Of course, it would also be good to be able to choose between a minimal and a full report.)

Thanks Pete. Just so i understand the ask clearly, are you needing this in the report to show to the report’s stakeholder? Or is it just so you have a way of recreating or going back to the sizing later?

The intent, initially, of the report was to just be the final outputs (i.e. a docx version of the Result page). Exporting/saving the scenario (from the Setup Page or floating toolbar) was meant to be the mechanism to track inputs and individualized workloads.

As you can imagine, all of the inputs, for all of the workloads, across the whole scenario itself could add up to lots of lines of raw output.

Can certainly consider it for an improvement, but I just want to understand the main rationale and ask :)

Cheers,

David!

Hi @david.tosoff

My concern is that we and the customer can understand what we have entered in the Sizer.

Often, things change again (different change rate, additional workload, etc.). However, I cannot see what has been entered so far in the export.

Currently, the export is still “nice,” but not suitable for business/enterprise use.

Exporting the entire scenario is fine for me, but not if I want/need to show/pass it on to the customer.

Since it can be a lot, my suggestion would be to offer several export types. One simple (current report) and one extended.

Absolutely fair. I’ll add it to the list.

Any other improvements that would help it reflect better for business/enterprise presentation, let us know :)
