Hi all,

In this blog series, I’m going to talk about plenty of things around the sizing and architecting for using Object Storage with Veeam Backup & Replication. Each part of this blog series covers different topics and things.

The third part of Sizing and Architecting for Object Storage with Veeam covers the following topics:

  • Everything what you need to know and consider for sizing and architecting for On-Premises Deployments
  • Gateway Servers, Proxies, and Data Movers — how do backups work within Veeam in a Direct to Object use case
  • Object Storage Limits, Block Sizes, Limits per Object, Bucket and so on

Feel free to check out the blog post here, as I don’t copy and paste the content here :)

Thanks for posting this.  I’m looking forward to reading parts 1 and 2 as well. I just skimmed a bit and it looks like you go pretty in depth so I’m going to have to spend a bit of time taking this one all in.  I’m also curious how your findings compare with the Object First Storage calculator.

This is an awesome blog series for those who need to do sizing and also even those studying for the VMCA (Architect) exam.  Check it out!  Great work @falkob 😎
