On the week of June 23-26, I had a great opportunity to join Emilee Tellez and Jackie Priddy at HPE Discover 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada. From cutting-edge innovations to powerful conversations, this experience has truly been one for the books. One of the biggest highlights was seeing Veeam showcase our newest collaboration with HPE Morpheus VM Essentials, reinforcing the importance of radical data resilience and cloud automation.

It was also inspiring to hear Eric O’Neil, former FBI Ghost, speak on how he helped take down one of America’s most notorious spies, Robert Hanssen. His story on trust, espionage, and cyber risk left a lasting impression and lesson.

Being able to join in this experience was amazing and having the chance to connect with some amazing teammates at Veeam was great. Everyone was incredibly generous with their time, advice, and insights. I learned so much from just being around them.

Veeam Data Platform & HPE Morpheus VM Essentials Software

John Jester, the Chief Revenue Officer, Veeam sat down with Cheri V Williams, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Private Cloud & Flex Solutions, HPE, and discussed how our partnership with HPE is innovating the enterprise data resilience.

Veeam will soon bring their top-notch VM data protection to VM Essentials, with full support for image-based backups on the Veeam Data Platform. Whether you’re using HPE Private Cloud or just standalone servers, you’ll get easy, unified protection across different hypervisors and can move VMs wherever you need. Plus, you could save up to 90% on VM license costs.

Veeam also announced “Data Resilience by Design,” a new partnership that helps businesses take a smarter, all-around approach to keeping their data safe and available. It includes HPE’s cybersecurity and resilience services, giving organizations clear steps and strategies to check, improve, and future-proof their data protection.

It is exciting to see Veeam extending support for HPE Morpheus VMs Essentials! The partnership between HPE and Veeam is built on delivering reliable, high-performance data protection and availability solutions.

When I first started at Veeam over 10 years ago, we had just announced support for HPE Storage arrays, including HPE StoreOnce, HPE 3PAR, and Nimble to name a few. This continued collaboration enables customers to leverage snapshot integration, rapid restores, and increased data resiliency. 

It’s always exciting to see the continued collaboration between Veeam + HPE. I am glad you got to experience this event firsthand Abdi!
