@Rick Vanover  announced (thanks Rick!) during today’s Weekly Recap the new #EmpowHerVMCE+ Accelerator, and I can’t describe how proud I am. A lot of people worked on this initiative, but special recognition goes to @ertelle1, who first had this idea and whose drive, vision, and collaboration made this happen.

I took part in leading the 2023 edition of EmpowHer VMCE+, and I saw firsthand how this program was an opportunity to change trajectories. Participants did not just become better technical professionals, they strengthened their confidence and sense of empowerment. They confidently stepped into the room and proved that they belong in this industry, and that they have a place on the front line.

And that is powerful.

Some of them changed roles, many progressed in their careers, and some, like @leaha  and @brnavarro, became familiar names in the community and are now leading the WA-IT! conversation. The impact they created is significant, they became role models and are inspiring others.

And YES! we are back. We want more, we want to inspire more women and include more women in our community.

What makes this edition different.

This year, the program evolves into a focused accelerator, limited to 50 participants and fully supported by Veeam. It is still rooted in the same idea, giving women access to real technical skills, but we are expanding its reach.

This time, we are opening the program not only to experienced professionals, but also to early career profiles or women who want to transition into IT, all profiles have a space in this cohort.

This fully funded, cohort-based program is built around the first course of the VMCE+ pathway, Veeam Backup & Replication: Configure, Manage, and Recover. Through a 14-week structured journey, participants will learn how to install, configure, and manage the Veeam Data Platform.

It is a mix of self-paced learning, guided cohort sessions, and continuous support from female certified Veeam Experts who have already been through the learning journey.

We, the team behind this initiative, believe this combination matters, because learning alone is one thing, learning with others who support you, challenge you, and keep you moving forward is something else entirely. This is the spirit of the Veeam Community that we wanted to bring into EmpowHer VMCE+ as well.

Participants can then continue learning through the rest of the training included in the eLearning subscription, progressing toward the VMCE+ certification and, from there, moving even further toward the upcoming VMCSE.

I am incredibly proud of everything we have built together, with an amazing team behind this initiative, and I am even more excited to see what this new cohort will achieve.

Because this is not just about 50 participants. This is the Veeam Community helping each other up, and it is about the ripple effect they create after. Because when women win, the whole society wins.

If you are, or you know a woman who is thinking about growing in tech, changing direction, or taking the next step, this is the moment.

Applications are open until June 19.

Hello Frederica,

I'd like to apply, but I have a question regarding the 14-week program mentioned in Learn&Engage: does it have to be 14 weeks in a row? As It is a busy time at work, I'd like to be able to plan ahead.

Thanks in advance

yes @morgan.munck we want to ensure that everyone participating in the program completes the Veeam Backup & Replication training within 14 weeks. Participants will be assigned to a group responsible for covering the weekly topics, and I recommend keeping pace with your group to complete the training within the timeframe.

After the 14 weeks, participants who have completed the training will receive a completion certificate and badge. They can then continue studying Veeam ONE and Veeam Orchestrator at their own pace to work towards the VMCE+ certification.
