The Veeam 100 Summit 2025 was more than just an event, but a journey of innovation, intense human moments and shared visions. Once again, the Veeam community demonstrated why it is considered one of the strongest and most technical in the IT landscape.
In this article, I want to share my personal experience and explain what inspired me, what struck me, and why this Summit gave me insight into the next stage of my professional growth. I wrote about my first impressions of what happened in my previous article.
Innovation at the core: Veeam V13 and Veeam Data Cloud
The event was a succession of information aimed at conveying a clear message:
Veeam V13 and Veeam Data Cloud are reshaping the future of data protection.
The new V13 version is not just an upgrade but a reworking of a resilience project. I already started talking about it in this article. At the same time, the strong focus of the sessions on Veeam Data Cloud (VDC) sparked my imagination regarding new features, strategies and integrations (still under NDA), but it was enough to understand that the future of data protection will increasingly involve flexible, cloud- and managed-based models.
I devoted much of my Summit to sessions on VDC, and one in particular — the one on new development strategies and directions — gave me a privileged view of what is to come.
The most exciting moment
During the event, there was a moment that touched us all deeply: the remembrance of Brad Jervis, a valued member of the community who had recently passed away.
At that moment, the room fell silent. Everyone united in silence and respect for him.

A vision that goes beyond backup: the acquisition of Securiti AI
One of the sessions that made me think was the one about the announcement of the acquisition of Securiti AI, which I wrote about here.
This is not just a technological expansion, but a paradigm shift in data. In fact, there will be integration between data protection through backup and the management of privacy, governance and security based on AI.
Why does being part of the Veeam 100 directory make a difference?
Those who know me understand how valuable I consider being part of this community.
Being a Veeam Legend, or part of the Veeam100 directory, means rubbing shoulders with people who have extraordinary skills and a rare spirit of collaboration.
In my previous article, “A wonderful journey through the Veeam Legends Programme” , I described in detail the value of this experience, and every Summit confirms everything I wrote. It is a community that helps you grow, challenges you, asks you to give and always gives you more in return.

Summit summary:
I got back from the Veeam100 Summit with some new ideas and a clearer view of the future of data protection:
- The cloud will play an increasingly central role.
- Data protection will no longer be just about “backup and restore”, but governance, intelligence and automation.
- Professional services for businesses will remain a necessary part of building resilience.
- Tech communities will keep on being the driving force behind transforming technology into real value.
And finally, I would say Prague is a really great city to visit.
