Hey Veeam Community,

Here’s a community thread for discussions around your VeeamON 2021 experience!

  • What is your most-anticipated session?
  • What is your favorite announcement from VeeamON 2021?
  • What stole the show for you?

My favorite session is " Hold My Beer While I Recover to the Cloud with Rick Vanover and Veeam Legend Michael Paul ".

A nice session ‘Veeam V11: Best Practices for Enterprise’ by @Viperian regarding best practices - 3-2-1-1-0 rule, the importance of securing our data against potential ransomware - cybersecurity defense strategy. Thx Edwin!

Thanks for creating this @Kseniya. My most anticipated session is the “10 Top Backup and Recovery Performance Tuning Tips” plus “Hold My Beer While I Recover to the Cloud”

I’m also really looking forward to getting some training under my belt as well.

Living in small remote towns, digital Veeam On is much appreciated learning what technologies, networking the list goes on that introduces all folks to what is new and improved in technology.

We can be the big fish in the little pond! At budget we can afford!

Thank you Veeam.

I liked Ransomware Recovery — 10 Top Expert Advice & Tips

and Michael C. is a great presenter.

Well thank you Sergiu, and yes, @michaelcade  seems to cut it :)

Thanks, Rick! After event too?

Hey @BethSouza, all sessions will be available after event during 3 months!

One of the most-anticipated sessions with @Rick Vanover and @MicoolPaul Hold My Beer While I Recover to the Cloud starts in 30 min !!! :fire: Don’t miss out!

So conflicted with this and the Architect one.  Will watch one live then the recording of the other.  LOL

The best B&R application!!! :muscle_tone4::trophy:

Wow...Mick Ebeling, inspiring, mind blowing speech about Not Impossible.com...

Yes very inspiring. He makes great things possible :thumbsup_tone2:

I think the bit I like best is being able to watch back session that I messed due to the clashing :-)

Great session!!!! Recommended. Architect’s Desk: Sizing of Veeam Backup & Replication, Proxies and Repositories

This was a great session for sure.

Yeah, very good session. Sadly this has put the “beer” to the recordings for me :joy::joy::joy:

Again a great demo-session from @Rick Vanover himself : Modern Immutability Storage options. Thx Rick!!!

Will need to watch this one too.

I hope everyone prepared questions to ask!

This is my first VeeamOn and everything im watching is so far Awsome!!!

Excellent sessions, superb event,  large dose of knowledge!!

hardened repo rules!

okay, high priority jobs are also not bad

Great session from @Viperian  : Cubersecurity Defense Best Practices. Thx Edwin!!!

Thank you Nico, I had two fabulous Vanguards with me @Scott Driver & @Paul Stringfellow If you like more of these kind of sessions, please let me know.

Thx VEEAM for this fantastic online event! I enjoyed some live sessions and recorded sessions, that while doing IT consulting (and of course Veeam related) for our customers… I will watch other open recorded sessions I’m interested in the next days/weeks and try to make my top-3 afterwards, but will probably not be easy 😉. Hopefully we can have a live event next year instead of an online event and really hope that I can come, can’t wait!

Watching part 2 of Veeam and Cyberthreats now. Glad to see Matt Price talking about isolating repositories at the network layer from the rest of the network. We’ve seen many companies running Windows repo’s joined to their AD, accessible at the layer 3 network level, which makes the backups useless when attackers get your domain admin credentials and encrypt/delete your backups with ransomware. Now is the time to make the switch to a Linux Security Hardened Repository and completely isolate it from the rest of your network!

My favorites are

„Hold My Beer While I Recover to the Cloud“ with@Rick Vanover  and@MicoolPaul

and

“Architect’s Desk: Sizing of Veeam Backup & Replication, Proxies and Repositories”
with @tsmith.
