A director in a business needs a folder of traffic photos restored from a virtualized Linux server, backed up by Veeam Backup & Replication. The director wants the files restored to their original location and to replace any original files still present. What functionality will be used to restore the folder using the Veeam guest OS restoration wizard?

  1. Restore the files using the “Hold” function. The director can then determine the status of the original and restored files
  2. Restore the files using the “Replace” function. The original files will be removed
  3. Restore the files using the “Overwrite” function. The original files will be removed
  4. Restore the files using the “Keep” function. The original files will be untouched

Ok everyone...the answer to this week’s VTT question is below…

Show content

This question, as in the past several, doesn’t require too awful much thought, but rather the knowledge of the functionality of a Veeam task; in this case, the File-Level Restore (FLR) process. Specifically, it requires knowledge of what options there are when doing a FLR task. As such, all options but the correct answer are “distractor” options. The correct answer for this question is c. Restore the files using the “Overwrite” function. The original files will be removed. For more info, see below URL:
