I received a build for Veeam VB365 V8 that was specifically targeted at MSPs.  I wanted to see if anyone else has been testing it and if you have found anything interesting or gotchas.  We are looking forward to this release with the Linux proxies and Proxy Pools for sure along with the active move feature for repos.

Let's get an MSP discussion going here to share our findings.

Hey Chris and Veeamers,

I’ve worked extensively with the various tech previews made available this year.  Along with Proxy pools and the ability to use Linux OS for those proxies the Postgres DB and NATS implementations are quite different and may require a robust and changed architecture from what was used in prior versions.

For larger VCSPs (more than 10k users?) a clustered NATS solution will be the best practice in order to provide NATS message persistence.

Thanks for that feedback Tim.  I have not got in to the new version yet but will look at the clustered NATs solution once I do.

I haven’t seen the new version as I missed the call for beta.  With that said, right now I’m running about 1000 mailboxes on my server across 8 orgs, so we’re certainly not what I’d consider large.  I am curious what the migration will look like though considering the different architecture of the app in v8 though, because this number is only going to go up as I am able to make time to migrate from our legacy solution.
