Copy backup to azure ommiting performance tier?

I have already configured some backup jobs for SQL database. Backups go to dell datadomain. I would like to copy full backups to azure blob storage. How can I do it without adding performance tier to scale-out repository? Is it possible?

For this feature you will have to wait for VBR V12.

ok, so for now the easiest way is to edit current job and in the storage options point “backup repository” to scale-out repository?

On test environment I just simply created another catalog on the same DD and eventually had two backups, one from “default” backup job and another one from backup to scale out repository job.

Hi, you could add your current backup repo into your SOBR instead of creating a new repo

I can’t, I get error:

Unable to add extent LDZ-PG-DD01 because it serves as the target for one or more job types which are not supported by a scale-out backup repository.

Is the configuration pointed to this repo?

It’s likely this, but the full list is here for you to review in case it isn’t: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backup/vsphere/limitations-for-sobr.html?ver=110

Yes, more than likely one or both of these.
