There was a problem validating the profile. Please double-check your cloud provider info and try again.

Hello, I have a question. I am trying to implement a Veeam Backups Server as a Location Profile in K10.

But for some reason, I always get the following error message. Furthermore, I do not see any requests or events on the firewall between the worker nodes and the Veeam backup server. None that are blocked, nor any that are allowed. The IP, the port, and all other information are definitely all correct...

Hi @Smugness2774 ,

vsphere csi is main requirements to use VBR repository, without vsphere csi it will not work.

Hello @Smugness2774,

Could you please take a look in your dashboard-svc logs and search for your profile name, it could point us to the cause or help us to investigate.

kubectl logs dashboardbff-svc-xxxxxxx | grep VBR_PROFILE_NAME

Also please take a look in the port/credentials requirements from VBR integration with K10:
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backup/kasten_integration/used_ports.html?ver=110
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backup/kasten_integration/req_permissions.html?ver=110
https://docs.kasten.io/latest/usage/configuration.html#vbr-location-profile

Regards
Fernando

We have everything exactly the same except for the CSI provider. We have Trident there instead of csi.vsphere.vmware.com. Is that the problem? What difference would that make?
