SureBackup - IP masquerading

Hi all,

I’m looking at the following guide I was recommended on one of my previous posts (great guide btw).

Does anyone know the logic behind the assignment of the masquerade IP? I can’t seem to understand where Veeam pulls this from nor find any explanation as to the logic behind it.

Hi @lgh, Veeam uses a masqueraded Network for communication with the “isolated” VM workloads within your SureBackup DataLab. 
The VBR cannot communicate with these isolated VMs with their regular IP adresses, otherwise the original/productive VM would answer.
