Hello All,

I will start using Huawei Cloud soon. According to my department, I will deal with backup and replications. Does anyone know how Huawei cloud integrates with Veeam? Can I replicate my on-prem server to Huawei cloud with Veeam? On the backup side, how is the backup again?

@tarik.yenisey it would be better before buying to check if it is compatible…

Do you have specifics of the services offered by Huawei ?

We will work with them from now on. For this reason, I want to primarily use Veeam as usual

I don't quite have it. I'm currently searching on the internet, but I couldn't find detailed information (about Backup and Replication)

Many organizations will not work with Huawei due to major security concerns that have arisen.

Just wanted to make sure everyone is aware of that.

I have no knowledge about this subject. They want to grow in the Turkish market, that's all I know. What kind of security vulnerability is this?

Hi @tarik.yenisey. Huawei is not a qualified Veeam Alliance Partner, so Veeam did not test and validate these solutions.

Refer to the complete list of qualified partners here:

Thank you for the information. I think they had integrations at one time. But I saw that it was EOL.

Exactly, @Geoff Burke. Huawei and other companies' solutions, like the Russian company Kaspersky, are banned from use within the U.S. civilian federal government and prohibited by different federal government countries due to national security concerns and risks.

In some cases, like TikTok and Kaspersky, the ban maybe expanded to citizens' utilization in USA:

I haven't heard any news about this in Turkey. Can you share some news about the bans on Huawei?

Sorry I’m late, but the comments above are accurate. One thing I’d add is you can use Agents, NAS, Enterprise Plug-Ins, etc. just not cloud-integrated.
