I have a performance tier on a scale-out of several repositories and a capacity tier on object storage.
I copy backups to object storage as soon as they are created so I can have a disaster recovery in case a repository failed irremediably.
What is the best practice to restore the whole data of a repository starting from data in object storage?

Is it 10.0.1.4854 P20201202 or just 10.0.1.4854, if it’s not P20201202 then you have an update available, if so I’d try that as the list of fixes on the latest update notes seem non-exhaustive:
It sounds worth raising a case with Veeam as the option is actually missing but I’m also wondering if Veeam is detecting it’s not possible to restore to the SOBR, does your SOBR still have the performance tier configured? I only ask as you mentioned this is a POC deployment.

It seems straightforward, but I can’t find the “Copy to performance tier” option in the menu, just the “Copy path” one.

Anyway, if I had the right menu, I could “Copy to performance tier” just a a backup file at a time, couldn’t I?

+23Hi, what version of Veeam are you running both major version and patch build? Can you supply a screenshot of what you’re seeing?
Within the documentation there’s the option to download all backups or just an individual backup chain.

Let me know how it goes with the update in case it’s a genuine GUI bug.
As an alternative if you try the Powershell commands to download the files I believe this would at least give you an error that would point you in the right direction. Information here:
