Just thought I would post this. 

Veeam B&R 11a is no longer officially supported. However, if you have not seen it, Veeam has published a Patch, P20240304, for those who have not been able to upgrade to Version 12 yet. 

Most importantly, the following were patched:

  • VMware Virtual Disk Development Kit (VDDK) was updated to 7.0.3.4 to address CVE-2023-38545.
  • OpenSSL was updated to v1.0.2zi to address CVE-2023-2650.
  • liblz4 was updated to v1.9.4 to address CVE-2021-3520.
  • zlib was updated to v1.2.13 to address CVE-2022-37434.
  • PuTTY was updated to 0.80 to address CVE-2023-48795.

If you are still running Version 11, please upgrade to version 12. It's a smooth upgrade :)

Yes, V12.1 is rock solid and has multiple features that makes it much better.

If you choose to install this 11a update, you will not be able to upgrade to version 12.1 until the next minor update is available (12.1.2 scheduled to be released in Q2 2024).

Good spot, that looks like it was added recently. I didn’t see it when I originally posted this so I guess we will be hearing more about 12.1.2 soonish.
