Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365 v8 introduces more granular control for backup windows, allowing you to better manage job execution during specific periods to avoid peak times or system load. This includes enhanced capabilities for setting more detailed permitted and denied time frames. You can select one of the following options:
- Daily at this time. Select this option if you want to run the job daily at the specified hours.
- Periodically every. Select this option if you want to run the job every N minutes.
Time periods can be selected in the dialog, in which you can:
- Set the Permitted execution time frame for the backup job.
- Set the Denied execution time frame for the backup job.

The following is an example in which it is prohibited to run a backup job on the following days of the week:
- Monday from 3 a.m. up until 9:59 a.m.
- Thursday from 2 p.m. up until 8:59 p.m.
