Working with a customer to install the Veeam Tintri Intelliflash Plugin.   We have installed plugin version 1.0.85.  Per this KB it says it supports  the following Tintri versions:

  • Tintri IntelliFlash 3.9.2
  • Tintri IntelliFlash 3.10.1 or later

Here is the KB:

https://www.veeam.com/kb3226

The customer array is running version 4.5.1.  After installing the plugin and trying to discover their Tintri array it errors out saying you need version 3.9.2 or higher on the array.    I assuming 4.5.1 is higher than 3.9.2 so not sure why it won’t discover.

Anyone else seen this and have a suggestion?

Thanks…

Dean

Hi Dean, i would say that your assume is right. And i couldn't find any informations, that this shouldn’t work. Unfortunately i have no colleagues with any Tintri systems running which i can ask.
I would suggest to reach out to the support team.
Best, Markus

Agreed...this sounds like a support issue as it appears to be some sort of bug if it’s not recognizing the newer version than required.

Yep.  Unfortunately the customer is running the free 30 day trial of Veeam to test this and actually trying to migrate some VMs off of the Intelliflash to new storage.  From what I am told calling support is not an option with that trial version.
