1. I get the Error code: 0x80070005 for restore

2. Whether i restore backed up database to existing database(to overwrite) or another database created, i get above error.

3. After restore fail at 1st attempt, the existing database(Schooldb) was removed/gone, i had to recreate it.

4. After restore fail at 2nd attempt, the second db i created to point restore to (Recoverydb) has also been delteted, no longer appears in ssms.

I can still do backups via veeam sql plugin. The restore is just not working propery

Is this a bug or am i doing something wrong?

Hard to say if this is a bug to be honest.  I would create a support case and get them to check the logs as that will be the quickest way to resolution for this one.

Noted, will do.

Additionally, please see error message below:

>ERROR] Failed to start recovery manager. Cannot find the restore session. MSSQLRecoveryManager] Failed to perform restore task. MSSQLRecoveryManager] Failed to perform recovery manager command.

Ok thanks for posting this but again not sure what it means specifically other than issue with restore.  Support will be able to sort it out.

@SysEng You sent the error message twice, is that OK? I mean, the second time should be a differente erro messange?
