As many of you know I have written three books on Veeam starting at v10 and the last one being v12.  I am working on the outline for a fourth book that will use 12.3 and focus more on the security aspects and enhancements to Veeam.

Once the outline is complete (working on this over the holiday break) they will ask me about technical reviewers so I wanted to solicite the community to see if anyone is interested.  I have had people like Rick Vanover, Matt Crape and Craig Dalrymple be technical reviewers and be recognized in the beginning of the books.

If there is anyone out there interested in this contact me by DM and we can chat.  I just need name and email address to give to the publishing company when the time comes.  I appreciate any that volunteer as it is a bit of work to do and there will be deadline dates to meet.

If there are any questions please post them here so I can answer for all to see that might be considering this.

Appreciate this wonderful community as always.

Hi Chris,

what do you need to review specifically, the accuracy of technical topics in the whole book or subdivide the work by chapters?

How much do you think is the estimated effort?

Chris, your work is fantastic, and I humbly offer my support the review in any way I can. 🙏

You review each chapter and mark with comments on anything.  It is a fair amount of effort.

I will keep you in mind and thanks Luiz.

Ho @Chris.Childerhose  You can count on me to review it. If you want, I can help you translate it into Portuguese.

Thanks for the offer Andre.  I will keep everyone in mind.  The translation would need to go through Packt but I will ask them about it when I submit the outline.

ok, no problem. I’m here! ;-)

You know your stuff and this isn’t your first rodeo so I assume things should be fairly correct.

I’m happy to help, but how much time and how in depth is required? Where on the scale between read it and catch anything that stands out vs, have Veeam open and verify every detail? 😀

I would hope most is correct.  LOL

It does not require Veeam open to validate everything but at least read all and catch things like spelling, grammar or even does the topic make sense from a user perspective.  I will keep you in mind Scott.

Response has been overwhelming and I appreciate this community.

That sounds like a reasonable ask. I like the “from a user perspective” side.  Having things technically correct, and make sense to the user makes for an enjoyable book.

Keep me in mind, and I’m not surprised you have a good response.
