Hi, so VBR doesn’t Support Network Address Translation (NAT), so for remote endpoints you’d need to utilise a VPN to enable the communication between VBR and the endpoint. You’ve got other options however. Veeam Cloud Connect (whether using a service provider or Veeam Cloud Connect for Enterprise) does support NAT, which allows backup across networks without end to end communication, but odds are you don’t have this.

If you want the endpoints to backup to some form of cloud storage then you could deploy them independently of the VBR to remove the communication requirement back to your VBR server.

Hope this helps

Veeam does not have direct integration to Google products just Microsoft.  If you want the pst file backed up you can yes by backing up the drive or folder where it is located.

Veeam Explorer is used for application level recoveries such as for exchange or SQL Server.

You can read all about the exchange explorer here: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backup/explorers/vex_user_guide.html?ver=120

As you’ve got a lot of questions around the products it might be worth visiting the Veeam University to do some quick bitesized training on some of these topics: https://www.veeam.com/free-on-demand-trainings.html

and the general help documentation (which has fantastic search capabilities) is here: https://www.veeam.com/documentation-guides-datasheets.html

As for PSTs, Veeam can export data from exchange backups into PSTs but afterwards you can work with those files natively in outlook, no need for the Veeam explorer so if you’re backing up PSTs of your outlook mailboxes then you can restore them back to a machine with outlook and look at them there
