As we celebrate the completion of another rotation around the sun, it’s often a time of reflection.

So I ask you, you wonderful bunch, in amongst all of your achievements this year, what are you most proud of? This could be an achievement, certification, personal life goal, bucket list item completed etc.

It hasn’t got to be one single thing, in amongst so much negativity in the world, it’s great to share something positive, so ramble on as long as you need to!

For me I achieved something from my bucket list this year, I flew a plane :relaxed:

And professionally, I got to speak alongside Rick Vanover at VeeamON this year, which still blows my mind! And I got some of my blog posts published on Veeam’s official blog! All made possible by my acceptance into the #Veeamazing Veeam Legend program.

I had a particularly tough year in some elements, but I also got to accomplish so much. And to whoever reads this, I wish you all a fantastic end of year and 2022 :relaxed::green_heart:

There are a few things -

  1. Becoming a Veeam Legend
  2. Writing an update to my book for v11
  3. Will round out the year with VMCE2021 and VMCA2022

 Being and continuing part of the vCommunity as well and being able to share knowledge.  Here is to 2022 being better and getting to meet up.

Best thing this year for me is Veeam Legend.

Great topic @MicoolPaul !

For me personally this year on professional level : becoming the first Veeam Legend in my country.

For me this year on private level : it has been a very tough year and it is still busy, in particular making the decision to divorce with my wife, I’m middle in this difficult situation… it will become better but not easy with the combination of a full time job and raising 2 teenagers and 1 small kid.

So for next year :

On professional level :

  1. Staying a Veeam Legend and maybe becoming a Veeam Vanguard also
  2. Get my new certificates on VMCE and VMCA

On private level :

  1. Being a good single dad for my children
  2. Stay healthy for me, my children and my family and friends

@Nico Losschaert

I’m really sorry to hear. I hope you get through this tough times.

@MicoolPaul

For me on private level, getting accepted in this community and being a legend.

Why private? Because it took many of my after work hours to contribute to this community and the forums. 😅

Reaching my first summit over 4000m altitude (4160m over sea level) was another achievement in my summer vacation.

On a professional level, getting the vmce done and soon the vmca.

And who knows, what 2022 brings for new opportunities ;-)

Thx @Mildur !

Great job everyone, just for the creation of this thread must feel proud!

For me 2021 2021 was good primarly for two reasons:

is the first year in a while without surgery;
and got CEH, starting to move my job from only sysadmin to cybersecurity too.

So, again, great job everyone :sunglasses:

Absolutely! CEH is this certification: https://www.eccouncil.org/programs/certified-ethical-hacker-ceh/

Glad that you ask :joy:

I had an amazing year. Honestly most probably this was the best year of my hole carrier. ..I am no braggart - sorry for that comes now, but I would like to list my professional successes I am extremely proud of: being accepted as Veeam Legend and Vanguard, officially becoming the lead engineer for VMware and Veeam products within my company, surprise appearance on VeeamON :joy: , my company became Veeam Accredited Service Partner (the second in my country and the first that can support all areas), passes VMCE and VMCA exam, got some improvements in my employment contract and a great increase in my blog post hits.

Normally I do not share personal and private stuff on internet platforms, but here I would like to share how proud and happy I am that I was able to start sports again after a serious back injury after more than 1 and a half years.

This sounds good, didn't know this! I like the word “ethical” in this context!

@vNote42 An easy one. But a great feeling. Breithorn in Zermatt

In 2022, my plan is to climb 2-3 more.
