VBR,ONE, and Enterprise manager configurations hosted on external failover SQL cluster, what is the best practice here for those SQL hosts, backup it as application-aware, or via agent, or just backup VBR configuration via configuration backup job?
As a part of cluster, its only possible to backup with Veeam Agent. VBR for example a normally I have just the backup configuration.
For VBR the configuration backup is the way to go but the other apps don't use that method. As mentioned use the agent or you can even set up maintenance tasks in SQL server to do actual backups from SQL to another location for restore later.
