if I have a backup job with GFS, and then the job is saved in a backup copy job, will the GPS backup also be taken over or do I also have to set GFS in the backup copy job?

You don’t need to create a backup copy job again if you have already configure the Secondary Target when you create the backup job.

If you select Keep certain full backups longer for archive purpose in the backup job to configure GFS, you still need to create backup copy job as you need it. It won’t create backup copy job for you.

It’s depend on what you need, if you want to keep long term archive at different target repository, in the backup copy job settings, you still need to setup GFS and recommend selecting a different target repository. If you don't need to keep long term archive at another repository, you don't need to create GFS in the backup copy job.
