Recently, in our clients it appears this error.

 

Processing disk XXXXXXXXXXXXX

Failed to process the disk XXXXXXXXX

 

And later, it retries and the backup is okay.

But I want to know how to fix that error.

Is this VM Level backup via VBR or the Agent?

We’d need to see more of the log information related to the task within C:\programdata\veeam\backup\<JobName>

 

Assuming this is a VM backup job and not agent, is it always the same disk for the same VM?

Do you have multiple proxies configured? If so does it always work with one proxy VS another?

Thinking of common configuration issues that could impact this.


As noted by Michael more details like a screenshot or from the log directory mentioned is helpful.  This is a very generic error in Veeam so it is hard to assist.
