Dear Veeam Team,

I would like to place a feature request with you. However, I am not sure if this is placed correctly here. If not, please let me know.

I noticed that an external export to a Microsoft Azure storage is possible, but what I miss a bit in a productive operation is the access from Kasten K10 to the Azure storage internally via private link and not via public interface.

Is there a possibility to extend the dropdown with a self defined URI endpoint for such cases?

Regards

Thank you @Chris.Childerhose Let's see if I can find a correct section in the Veeam forum for Kasten K10 and too bad that you have to re-register in their forum.

Hello @flavio_bitstan,

Checking Azure documentation regarding private endpoints, where it states that you should use the same connection string that is used for public connection, since the DNS will automatically route the connections to the private link:

Clients on a VNet using the private endpoint should use the same connection string for the storage account as clients connecting to the public endpoint. We rely upon DNS resolution to automatically route the connections from the VNet to the storage account over a private link.

Microsoft recommends to use the public endpoint for connection to your Azure Storage and the route to your private link will be done through DNS.

More information on Azure official documentation:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/storage/common/storage-private-endpoints#connecting-to-a-private-endpoint.

Hope it helps.

The RnD forum doesn‘t provide a place for Kasten K10 related questions.

I‘m not sure if Kasten K10 has a similar place. Maybe @Geoff Burke  knows it.

Best,

Fabian
