Hello All, Cross posting here if anyone come across similar issue or any recommendation on this

We encountered an issue with the restore portal being unavailable after upgrading the VSPC console from version 8.0.0.19236 to 8.0.0.19552. We have the Web UI and Console Server roles deployed in a distributed architecture.

Initially, when clicking on the File Level Restore portal, it would redirect to URL "/Connectors/VeeamAgentsSelfServicePortal" and then return to the VSPC main portal. What I found initially was that the VeeamAgentsSelfServicePortal Application Pool was missing from IIS sites, and I had to recreate the pool to resolve the page loading error. After that, I encountered an issue where the Restore portal was responding with a "Service unavailable" error.

We have already tried the following:

Uninstalling outdated .NET packages from the servers.
Reinstalling only the latest redistributable packages from the VSPC ISO.
Changing the services to run under the System account instead of the current Administrator account.
Removing the antivirus software.
Removed expired certificates and re-applied the certs

I’m working with support team on this issue and meanwhile I want to see if anyone faced this similar issue.

Certificate was the issue in my case as well and followed below steps to fix the issue

  1. Navigate to WebUI server to:

C:\Program Files\Veeam\Availability Console\Integrations\VeeamAgentsSelfServicePortal\APIs\appsettings.json

  1. Check for TrustedServerCertificate thumbprint and replace with the correct one
  2. Restart the IIS

We have not seen that on any version as yet.  Did you or are you planning to update to 8.1 - wondering if that would address the issue?  Guess support will tell you one way or the other.

I know the upgrade takes a bit for VSPC and the web UI to come up.

Sorry I missed to mention that, I have upgraded to 8.1 and it’s still the same problem.

Support advising to redeploy the WebUI server in fresh server which I’m going to try this weekend

Sounds good.  Let us know how you get on and if you fix the issue.

I had a similar problem, when opening File-restore portal, a page with endless loading opened. After analyzing the log file from the VSPC portal, I found a certificate error. After adding the current certificate to the Trusted Root Certification Authorities storage and restarting the Veeam FLR service, File-restore portal started working.
