All snapshots and actions succeed on my policy run yet the policy is marked Failed and there is no place I can find an error message at the policy level. How can I troubleshoot?
Saving a policy that (1) selects applications By Labels (2) has Snapshot Cluster-Scoped Resources doesn’t behave as expected.Expected:Labels remain unchanged. Snapshot Cluster-Scoped Resources remains checked. Applications page recognizes that Cluster-Scoped Resources policy exists.Actual:K10 adds a label k10.kasten.io/appNamespace=kasten-io-cluster to the label list. Snapshot Cluster-Scoped Resources is changed to unchecked. Applications page does not recognize that a Cluster-Scoped Resources policy exists. Policy fails even though all listed actions complete successfully.
I removed all restore points for an application/namespace, yet when I look at the `VolumeSnapshot` CRDs the snapshots remain, as do the backing store representations.Shouldn’t removing a restore point remove the related snapshots?
Trying to backup 1TB over a 10M connection with K10. The “Monitoring Actions” task of backup times out after 10 hours exactly even though I set “kanister.backupTimeout” to 2 weeks. Is this a bug? Also, if the job is canceled, will a second run discover the data in the repo where the former left off or does the entire export have to complete in a single run?
I noticed my API server is seeing high CPU usage.kube-system kube-apiserver-nodeX 1260m 1041MiEvery 1-2s I see this in my logs.I0825 00:33:20.731070 1 trace.go:219] Trace[1244752237]: "List" accept:application/json,audit-id:x,client:x.x.x.x,protocol:HTTP/2.0,resource:profiles,scope:namespace,url:/apis/cr.kanister.io/v1alpha1/namespaces/kasten-io/profiles,user-agent:aggregatedapis-server/v0.0.0 (linux/amd64) kubernetes/$Format,verb:LIST (25-Aug-2023 00:33:19.431) (total time: 1299ms):Trace[1244752237]: ["List(recursive=true) etcd3" audit-id:x,key:/cr.kanister.io/profiles/kasten-io,resourceVersion:,resourceVersionMatch:,limit:0,continue: 1299ms (00:33:19.431)]Trace[1244752237]: ---"Writing http response done" count:4313 268ms (00:33:20.730)Trace[1244752237]: [1.299384717s] [1.299384717s] END If I stop K10’s `aggregatedapis-svc`, the log spam and CPU usage drops significantly.kube-apiserver-nodeX 198m 1049MiWhy is
I migrated an old PVC to a new PVC on different storage medium. I want to remove all K10 snapshots of the old PVC so I can remove it, but otherwise leave the K10 restore points for the application intact since there are a number of other still valid PVCs in the namespace to retain backups for. What’s the best way to do that?
