My Veeam backup is failed with an error

Failed to create VM snapshot. Error: CreateSnapshot failed, vmRef vm-105, timeout 1800000, snName VEEAM BACKUP TEMPORARY SNAPSHOT, snDescription Please do not delete this snapshot. It is being used by Veeam Backup., memory False, quiesce False
Error: The method is disabled by 'com.vmware.vcDr'

still getting the same error after unprotecting the VMs in srm.

Would suggest a support ticket at this point to get help.

is it possible to  backup  VMs using both SRM and veeam with no errors

 

Does not appear so due to the way SRM works to create snapshots on the VM which Veeam does not like.

Yes i am using SRM and Veeam.

 

That is the issue.  That flag is set by SRM so Veeam will throw that error due to it.  You would need to unprotect the VM with SRM then back it up.

Are you using SRM to protect VMs?  This flag tends to come from that so Veeam fails backups.
