Hi Team,

Since few days ago I get this error message when run a job in Veeam for Microsoft 365: “JetError -1032, JET_errFileAccessDenied, Cannot access file, the file is locked or in use”

And reposity state says “invalid”

The repository is a SMB shared and I can access from Windows Explorar without any problem. 

Can you give me and advice could be the problem? Thanks.

Hi, what is hosting this SMB share? Is it a physical storage device such as QNAP/Synology?

Unfortunately SMB shares are the cause of most storage issues as they’re the most flakey.

 

I’d suggest ensuring nothing of Veeam is accessing the SMB share and then rebooting the SMB host server/storage device.

 

I’d also strongly suggest using something other than SMB/NFS if possible due to the reliability issues I’ve mentioned above.

 

If the issues persists post reboot, double check your credentials for the repository within VB365, and then check the ACL for the share.
