Hi, this is correct, the standard edition license is a minimum requirement as per: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backup/vsphere/cdp_requirements.html?ver=120
This is needed for all RPOs on CDP as it’s to do with the IO filter driver. Otherwise you need to use replication and try to replicate as frequently as possible
