What’s the most used tool when we’re at PC?

Coffee. Yes, true. But except that?

I think it’s the browser.

A 2022 report (Statcounter) says last 12 months worldwide browser market share is:

  1. Chrome 65.12%
  2. Safari 18.86%
  3. Edge 4.11%
  4. Firefox 3.29%
  5. Samsung Internet 2.95%
  6. Opera 2.12%

Well, I was expecting more share for Firefox, anyways…

Today we start a new topic about browser extensions: what are most useful and essential ones for Chrome?

This is what I use.

For daily activities:

uBlock Origin

NoScript

Ghostery - Adblock for Privacy

Privacy Badger

HTTPS everywhere

For Osint:

Wayback Machine

Wappalyzer

Hunter, Email Finder Extensions

Visualping

Distill Web Monitor

Mailtrack per Gmail: Email tracking

For Accessibility:

Dark reader

Print friendly

Do you know or use others?

I use uBlock along with Night Eye (dark pages) and also Dashlane for my password and autofill management.  As well as Grammarly and Honey for coupons.

I use the Brave Browser, instead of the mentioned above browsers due to security and privacy concerns. As a backup I normally use Chrome, but Brave can handle most ;-)

It works great for certain sites, etc along with privacy as noted. I have it installed and use it frequently.
