Buongiorno a tutti, venerdì ho sudato nel tentativo di installare un mini ambiente di Kubernetes su delle macchine linux, per avere un mini lab dove vedere in azione K10.Ho provato sia Microk8S di Canonical: https://microk8s.io/sia Minikube: https://minikube.sigs.k8s.io/docs/start/e ho fallito miseramente con entrambi. Sia con le guide presenti sui siti stessi sia cercandone altre in rete. A tutte mi pare manchi sempre qualcosa e alla fine non parte nulla.Qualcuno ha fatto una installazione del genere e… conosce un how to 4 dummies? 😊Grazie!

ciao, volevo sapere se qualcuno di noi italici ha delle esperienze nella protezione di ambienti SAP con Veeam. Onestamente ho googlato parecchio ma più dei manuali ufficiali non ho trovato molto.Al momento i miei dubbi principali sono:il plugin sap hana si può installare solo dalla macchina SAP o è possibile anche aggiungere un protection group e installarlo da console? (credo di sì, ovvero si possa fare da console, ma nella documentazione non ho trovato questa modalità) il plugin va installato sulle macchine che hanno il DB a bordo? è sufficiente su una per cluster DB? immagino di sì ma anche su questo non mi pare di aver trovato in doc.più in generale mi piacerebbe appunto condividere qualcosa sulle nostre esperienze in merito. (prometto di farlo con le mie al più presto). Grazie!
ciao, vorrei raccogliere qualche opinione / riscontro sul “dimensionamento” del veeam server. Nel senso che, in contesti molti grossi (scusate il tecnicismo 😉), dove ci sono tante VM e soprattutto tantissimi Job forse sarebbe meglio avere più di una istanza di VBR… oppure no? This is the question.In un contesto dove sto lavorando, c’è un VBR che impiega 45 minuti a fare un backup della configurazione, producendo un file da oltre 2 GByte. Sarebbe una buona idea “segmentarlo”? Che ne pensate? Grazie in anticipo.P.S.: naturalmente in un contesto frazionato diventa più importante avere l’Enterprise Manager (spesso trascurato) e ONE ben configurati per meglio tenere sotto controllo il tutto.

I have a k8s cluster with 3 work nodes and I have Kasten k-10 running under kasten.io namespace. I have different VM for Veeam backups and replications. When I go to Add Server and select Kasten adn provide the IP and port it work well. When I add new credential of service account name and its token I see the following error . A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.Can you please tell me what is the issue?Really thanks full.
I’ve added a shared mailbox to an existing backup job this morning - the mailbox is 7GB in Office 365. The job completed a little while later but in the summary I see “Transferred: 419.6 MB (25466 items)”. Those figures don’t add up, so I’d like to investigate more but I can’t see a way to show the backed up data size for any mailbox. How do I do that?
If a backup copyjob shows one vm in the job in a warning status that says “Waiting for backup resources availability”; did that particular VM actually copy over or did it ultimately fail to copy over?

For example, you add a VM with 4 disks to a job and assign a backup proxy that can process maximum 2 tasks concurrently for the job. In this case, Veeam Backup & Replication will create 4 tasks (1 task per each VM disk) and start processing 2 tasks in parallel. The other 2 tasks will be pending. ThanksFederico

Following on from the excellent advice on what kind of storage server (and direct attached storage within) to use for a hardened Linux repository, may I push my luck to ask for some more advise or where to go next. Presuming I can get my hands on a suitable storage server and storage (as recommended) could anyone shed some light on how we’d need to set this up so that Veeam is able to back up the data on our Infortrend SAN. Here’s some further details of our config.We have a Windows server in our (remote) data centre that is running Veeam B&R v11. It is currently just making some physical backups of critical Windows and Linux hosts. These hosts are physically located in our office and there is a decent enough secure connection to make these backups over the line to the Veeam server in the data centre.However, I want to expand our use of Veeam to make regular backups of the TB’s of data on our Infortrend SAN which is also based in our office and this is where my lack of experience/k
Good afternoon,I am with V10 version With Enterprise manager I try to hide jobs and vm depending on user.ExampleUser1 : could see Job1 and vm Vm1 and vm 2User2: could see Job2 and vm Vm3 We have two roles : Portal administrator and portal user. With the role portal user, I filtered the vm for each user. It works fine the User1 sees vm1 and vm2 and User2 sees VM3.But the two users see job1 and job2. My question is how do we filter the jobs by users as we can do with vm? Regards

Does anyone know if at all possible whether SRM placeholder of remote VCenters can be removed from discovery or monitoring. We have a VCentre 7.1s in a primary/backup configuration using SRM. Veeam discovers these placeholder (same name as the primary VM) and alerts when changes occur to them. I want to remove them completely from SCOM.
