Buongiorno, ho cercato nel gruppo ma non ho trovato al risposta.Vado ad esporre il mio problema.Ho alcuni Job di Backup di VM di vSphere a cui ho impostato una certa “Retention Policy” in giorni, prendendone uno, per esempio “25 days” con impostato un “Remove deleted items data after” in 7 days … però se vado nel repository vedo che i file che hanno più di 32 gg non vengono cancellati! Ora il quesito è:- c’è un comando/procedura per forza la cancellazione dei file che eccedono la policy??? Grazie.
hi Veeam CommunityI have a backup server that uses the drives in the backup server as a repository, and the backup server works as a workgroup. I want the permissions on these drives to be only for the veeam service.I want to do this for more security.My question is whether such an idea is good?If it is good, what permissions should I give to these drives?
Hi All,We are designing a new Veeam Backup Solution. This will be a hardened solution with Linux OS on REPO Server for immutability Snapshot integration will be setup for Veeam to backup from NetApp Snapshots Solution will consist of virtual VMware proxy servers, 1 physical server as the repository server with RHEL installed, iSCSI connected Storage Area Network (SAN) Storage to provide the Repo storage to this RHEL physical serverWe need to understand the Storage Area Network (SAN) Storage requirements such as how much RAM, CPU that SAN should have on the 2 controllers? The Physical RHEL repo server will have 128GB memory, 2 x 18 core CPUs and can see the sizing detail for this in the vse sizer, however have not been able to see sizing around the SAN and the RAM/CPU they should have as we dont want to be in a position where the SAN Controllers are struggling. Hello all, is there any possibility to have report directly from Veeam? We have Veaam v12.2 for really small environment and Installing/configuring VeeamONE is a big hammer for this nail.I would like to have same report as you got when you right click on completed backup job “last24 hours” and click on report. I didn’t find anything that can do that automatically to file.thanks,Ladislav.

Hello Forum,Since I’m reconstructing everything I would like to seek some advices for WAN accelerators.We have Primary Site (Austria, Vienna) and Secondary Site (Serbia, Novi Sad).Backup to Primary:Backup Jobs going to Synology LUN that is connected via iSCSI to Windows Server (ReFS 64KB block size) + FastClone From Monday to Friday - Incrementals On Friday - Full Synthetic Backup 21:00 - 22:00 starting of the Backup Jobs Backup to Secondary:I would like to try and implement WAN Accelerators for this so that potentially we have better performance. 2 Source WAN Accelerators. 1 for large VMs and 2 for small VMs 1 Target WAN Accelerator.Question regarding Backup Copy Job:As I’ve read some documentation about WAN Accelerators I checked that Source WAN Acc should have better CPU performance so it doesnt need to be some high I/O performance device and for Target WAN Acc is opposite, is thsi true? Hello,I would like to get our backups to be efficient as much as they can be.Current situation in production is that we are sending our backups to Synology SMB share on main site, and over WAN Accelerator to our secondary site also to Synology SMB share using Backup Copy Job (immediate copying).Currently I’m testing iSCSI on main site. I created Synology LUN and connected it to the VBR server via iSCSI with ReFS and configured Synthetical Full because of the FastClone option. Need more time to see how it will perform.Now the question is where to implement Backup Proxies and how to use it in our case.I know that best option would be to have physical server’s both on primary and secondary location.How it will benefit our sitaution?And another question is do we need to configure iSCSI also for Backup Copy Jobs or it is okay to have it via SMB and WAN Accelerator from the Main site to Secondary Site.Best Regards

I was wondering if anyone have a nice Word-template I could use for reporting the results of disaster recovery tests. It doesnt need to be created dynamically from the data of the test. The report is meant for the board members and the CEO on a higher level. So its basically just a nice, clean layout (of course a Veeam logo somewhere...) but also look professional.
Ciao a tutti,mi permetto di aggiungere un topic di discussione che secondo me vale la pena approfondire: l’Application Aware Processing.Lo usate di default o lasciate le impostazioni predefinite “avanti-avanti-avanti”?Per quanto mi riguarda, lo uso sempre (tranne rari casi) e vado poi a configurare caso per caso la gestione dei transaction log se ci sono dei DB o meno. I try to backup a VM Machine on hyper-v but i get error: 20.04.2022 10:56:18 :: Processing DC-01 Error: There are no available IP addresses to connect to Hyper-V Integration Service. How can I solve this, with anoter hyper-v server it works. Thx Peter
