Hello everyone, This morning during my VMware VM backup job, I encountered the following error:Error: Cannot proceed with the job: existing backup meta file 'Prio 0.vbm' on repository 'ds_veeam_sanctl03' is not synchronized with the DB. To resolve this, run repository rescan As explained in the message, I initiated a rescan of the datastore on my NAS. The scan failed with this error:11/01/2024 09:10:58 Warning Failed to import backup path nfs3://xxxxx:/|volume1|ds_veeam|Prio 0|Prio 0.vbm Details: '.', valeur hexadécimale 0x00, est un caractère non valide. Ligne 1, position 1. I did not find any information about this error in the knowledge base or other forum messages. I am using Veeam Backup & Replication 11.0.1.1261 P20220302. Thank’s for advance.Philippe.

Hello everybody and wish you a happy and successful new year. I’m starting with configuration of SureBackup for our environment.I’m still pretty new to everything so it would be great if someone can assist. We have a standalone Hyper-V Host that we are using for our Virtual Lab.Few of you are already familiar with our setup but I will write it again:Backup Jobs going on primary location (Synology NAS iSCSI connection formatted as ReFS to Windows Server) Backup Copy Jobs on secondary location ( Synology NAS iSCSI connection formatted as ReFS to Windows Server) Immutable Backups on secondary location ( Running Directly on Synology NAS as a VHR - isolated ) Now I want to add SureBackup to our Backup Strategy to complete the 3-2-1-1-0 rule. Currently I created an Virtual Lab with Hyper-V Host but didn’t configure anything than default settings that Veeam Already configured by itself.VM’s that we backup range from DC’s, FileServer’s, Revit Server’s and a lot of other applications. What would
Hello folks. As we’ve started getting a ‘maximum size’ warning from VEEAM B&R, we’re moving over to PostgreSQL. I’ve looked through some guides and it looks quite straightforward. One question - PostgreSQL 16 is now available. Is it okay to install that rather than the latest 15.X version? Thank you. David
I am currently running Veeam 11 on Server 2012. I would like to migrate to Server 2019. I’ve tested a couple boxes doing in place upgrades and it didn’t go smooth. So, I would like to spin up a new Server 2019 box and migrate Veeam. I’ve read the below article, and actually had to utilize it during my Veeam 11 upgrade to restore my config. My question is, how to I migrate since my repositories are on the Veeam 11 box? I have 3 disks on that machine with multiple repositories. When I go to perform the restore, those repositories are not yet on the new machine. What is the best technique for doing so? This is in VMWare, should i just add the old vmdks to the new machine? Is there a better method? I would love to shrink the vmdks in the process if possible. The backup database is much smaller than the vmdks.
