Hello All,I have a VM on standalone Hyper-v 2019 with a backup checkpoint that I can not delete.The checkpoint was created by veeam during backup.There is no opting in the GUI to manually delete the checkpoint.I ran the backup again and it was succesfull however it did not delete the checkpoint.What can I do? the checkpoint is growing quite rapidlly.Version: Veeam Backup 10a Build: 10.0.1.4854 P20201202
Hello there,I have a backup job which was going seamlessly. but in the last days it was failing after reaching 80% with error message attached below. I tried the job by disabling firewall rules nothing new occurred. All backup infrastructure components are working fine for other VMs. I have also checked firewall logs but there is nothing blocked related to this backup.Error message:Error: Unstable connection: unable to transmit data. Failed to upload disk. Skipped arguments: [vddkConnSpec>]; Agent failed to process method {DataTransfer.SyncDisk}. Exception from server: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host Unable to retrieve next block transmission command. Number of already processed blocks: [11956]. Failed to download disk 'VM-Name.vmdk'. I need to figure out how to resolve this issue immediately.

What does “Warning: some restore points failed to process” mean? I got this warning on a cloud copyjob and I can’t really find out what specifically it means or why it happened? Does this mean the copyjob failed or in a disaster recovery scenario that I’d have missing data that I couldn’t restore to from the cloud because it didn’t copy over? I ran a new sync and it was successful, but I am wondering what this warning means and how can I present it in the future?

Good morning guys,I recently noticed that some of our M365 backup jobs (various tenants and various backup VMs) always complete with warnings. We are having this problem for about a week or so. The messages always look like this:Failed to backup item: /personal/testuser_testdomain_com/Documents/Todo.one, Download request retry timeout exceeded. Hello,a customer has the problem that his VBR server has gotten very slow the last days and since today some agent and plugin jobs are failing (and yes, agent and plugin jobs only are failing, no VM backup jobs...).I had a look at the server and it has hit the 10GB constraint of the the MS SQL express edition for the database size…Is there a procedure to shrink the database? For example to delete the session history or something else?The setting for the History under General Options is a option how much entries are shown in the console but not how many entries are saved in the db.Any ideas? 🤔
I foolishly used an IP address for a ‘temporary test system’ which became a permanent fixture.A change of network schema means the repository is now on a new address.It does not appear to be possible to change the IP address in VEEAM (I should have used a fqdn). I could start again with new backups - but is there a method to resume backups to the same repository after re-defining it? All advice welcomed.Latest v11
On my esxi 7.0 cluster I’ve added a couple of VMs for testing. Having had B&R configured to backup entire hosts (with some VM exceptions) it obviously backed up these test VMs. I did not notice this change, since I’ve configured Veeam to not email me on successful backups.Over the next days I removed these VMs. By doing so, Veeam completed to produce successful backups but today by accident I’ve noticed that it adds a single line message of the form “XXXX is no longer processed by this job. Make sure this change is intentional.”Two questions:These last jobs were still successful. Therefore I’ve received no e-mail for them (even if I did, I’d tend to overlook content for jobs that ran without hitches). Would it be better to have this type of a job end with a warning exit code, instead of a success one? How can I avoid having this message in the next backups? Should I edit the job and, if so, edit it how exactly?

I’m a user of Veeam B&R Community Build 11.0.1.1261, and I’ve just started experiencing a problem a second time that I thought was fixed.Some time ago (a couple of weeks to a month), I started experiencing an issue with Veeam backups. When it would try backing up, it would quickly error out with the following error:Warning Failed to synchronize [Backup Repository] Details: Failed to call RPC function 'NfsIsExist': Failed to reset previous connection exception: Permission denied. The first time that happened, I assumed it was because I was disabling Veeam services that I thought were unnecessary. Despite re-enabling them, the error persisted. Hello, I have been asked by one of Veeam partners about my take if it comes to Veeam support for VMware Horizon VDI platform, despite the choice of taking the POC option I also chose to take your input on this. Considering that VMware Horizon VDI is based on ESXi, do we still consider the desktops(Instances) or sockets as unit of licensing? If so, is there any operational implication or/and limitation if it comes to operations and protection of the VMware Horizon components? Hello everyone,I Have been learning about veeam products and recently for practice, I setup a windows server VM & installed veeam backup & replication in that. I was trying to backup a physical machine and the backup job failed. I feel the reason is veeam is not able to identify details such as hostname and credentials. I looked various documents related to this but still I am missing out something. I even installed veeam agent on physical machine during initial setup. Can anyone help me out with this?

Hello Team,Greetings!I am working on a DR project for one of my customer. The Production and DR Site is both VMware infrastructure. Currently the Veeam Backup & Replication instance is running in Production Site and all the VMs are replicated over to DR site. We have Re-IP features in DR plan, so when failover happens the VMs get IPs for DR site subnet. Question is, in case of the Production site completely goes down, no access to anything:Will the Re-IP feature work? Cause my Veeam instance is also in production site? My only option is to power on the replica VMs in DR Site manually and change the IP within OS manually? Is there a way we can setup a High Available/Secondary instance of Veeam Backup & Replication in DR site? (with same configuration as per production site?). So if the production site is completely down, we can still manage the backup & replication portion from DR Veeam instance? If question 3 is possible, do we need additional Veeam license or anything els

I’m using Veeam 11 (11a? not sure how to tell) Community Edition on my home network. Mostly everything is working fine; however, two of five win10 computer agents (5.0.1.4584) in the inventory are showing : Microsoft Windows version installed on this machine is not officially supported by Veeam yet. which is AFAIK is incorrect - both are standard Windows 10 Pro installs (I have never used any dev or pre-release builds). For example, the machine that gave the above is 10.0.19044 N/A Build 1466 which according to this page https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/release-health/release-information is a production release, not a Technical Preview. Where is the issue? How do I convince Veeam that it a production OS? PS, in case you are wondering; the backup still works. The issue is my reporting mechanism… since Veeam reports a Warning due to “Technical Preview”, I keep getting alerts about the issue.
