@coolsport00 ,Some of the preventative measure I can think of:Do not allow vCenter Web Console access over the internet. Do not use NFS as the VM datastore.Hopefully others can also help sharing the preventative measure.

@vAdmin - you bring up some good points...very good points...about mis-programmed AI tools. Of course, once determined, they can be corrected. But, at what cost for the error? Then there are intellectual, property, copyright infringements..some of which have already occurred (thus why I brought up my education entity). Yes...very concerning points to ponder. For instance, when AI is used to determine the security status or posture of a system or to fix a security issue, it may overlook certain inputs if it is not configured properly or if it is fed incorrect data. This can result in significant security breaches or failures that can damage an organization's reputation or even lead to financial losses. In another scenario where a programmer in a company uses AI to generate code, it raises an intriguing question - what kind of suggestions or code would the same AI system create for the competitors of that company? This could lead to a legal battle over intellectual property rights and there could be a massive bug or issue out in the wild that could impact not just the company, but also its customers or partners.

@vAdmin - does your script work for that specific scan engine? Because, in looking at your script, you peruse the “Malware_Detection_Logs” folder. There is no such folder for Inline scans. @coolsport00 ,I haven’t tested it yet, where is the location of the logs to parse ?
Great little script @vAdmin ! I wish Inline Entropy events were more descriptive though 😕 Thank you @coolsport00 , yeah, hence I created this script after reading through your thread and the R&D forums feature request.
Appreciate it Scott. Yeah..the main issues I have is with Inline Entropy scan. It’s so vague, it’s difficult to determine/pinpoint the cause of the detection. Hopefully Veeam can come up with a solution to provide a bit more detail in that engine. Regardless, I agree...this feature is still a really welcomed one. Also looking forward to future enhancements. Anxious to see what they come up with. Yes, Exactly my pain point here.The actual object locations is not included in the email hence it is hard to investigate this issue.Hopefully, in the next release, there will be detailed logs where to find the location of the offending objects.
