Excellent content, I definitely love powershell, its simplicity, portability and multiplatform integration makes this language truly great.A curious fact, the creator of powershell was greatly influenced by Unix pipelines. So when he designed the language he tried to emulate this concept and integrated other capabilities found in older scripting languages. In essence, concepts considered archaic from Unix were able to contribute to the creation of Microsoft's main management platform!!!!!  Here is an interview with the creator of Powershell. Very interesting to know the history of the language design, the challenges he had in this process and the ins and outs about Microsoft.  Enjoy your weekend!

[What (else) is new in v12 - XIV] SureBackup – Disable Windows Firewall

Good thing that this value can be retrieved through powershell. I was able to add it to the AsBuiltReport.Veeam.VBR report.Thanks for sharing!

Your license has not expired, has it?  I would not think so but wonder if it does a check when running the report or something?  I have not studied it in depth but wondered.  Hopefully @jcolonfzenpr can answer. Yeah, it would be good to validate that the license is not expired.

Hi @Chris.Childerhose  Finally I figured it out and fixed it. It seems the offline Module from Github not working fine with me so I installed from PSGallery repo from another device (coz server that I worked on does not have internet access) and I loaded the new one and it works fine. Thanks for you following up.  I'm glad you were able to resolve it and my thanks to those who helped you do so.I have included the URL for the most recent instructions on how to run the report. As-Build Report Veeam - Guide for an easy installation

The tool is Veeam.Diagrammer and it source code is located here:https://github.com/rebelinux/Veeam.Diagrammer From version 0.8.3 onwards the AsBuiltReport.Veeam.VBR report can generate diagrams if the "EnableDiagrams" option is set to true.  There is still a lot of work to be done to generate a complete infrastructure diagram. But for now there are several diagrams type that can be generated. I am interested in adding support for Cloud Connect but the license I was using for this purpose expired :(Stay tuned...

Hola Cesar, Lo más prudente en este caso seria contactar al soporte de Veeam si cuentas con una suscripción activa. Para las versiones antiguas de Veeam B&R si no me equivoco existe una herramienta de migración que te permite hacer un remapeo de los id de MoRef que te ayudaría en que los chains continúen donde se quedaron. Pero pienso que si están en un ambiente de producción los mas logico seria contactar al soporte de Veeam.https://www.veeam.com/kb2136https://www.veeam.com/kb1299?ad=in-text-link Un saludos y espero puedan resolver la situación.

Thank you for the content. I will be adding these recommendations to make it easier to use the report. I am working on a GUI made in C# for the AsBuiltReport.Veeam.VBR project that allows to generate these reports in an easier way.Additionally I have been working on improving the report content and also adding support for drawing VEEAM B&R infrastructure diagrams.Stay tuned...

Better than Just VPN for the Home Lab

Tailscale is a service with great features. I use it to access my homelab, for that I have a rasberry pi connected to tailscale where I propagate the internal subnets of my homelab. Best of all, you don't need to have dedicated public IPs and everything is securely connected.

Retrieving Enterprise Manager information using powershell

Sorry, I’m a little late to the party, but I have a method in PowerShell that doesn’t require calling Invoke-SqlCmd cmdlet as it’s not installed by default in Windows Server (unless you also have SQL installed on the server or have installed manually).   Import-Module Veeam.Backup.PowerShell -WarningAction SilentlyContinue[Veeam.Backup.Core.SBackupOptions]::GetEnterpriseServerInfo() | Select IsConnected, ServerName, Url | Format-List   Thanks!
