Previously, we were able to CTRL+C rows from the Tape Infrastructure tab and paste them into an Excel sheet for tracking. Now when copying the rows and pasting into Excel, it results in empty cells. Pasting into notepad and other text editors shows blank spaces as well. Is this some sort of bug that anyone else is experiencing?

Hi All,I have a VMware environment where backups are performed using Veeam Backup & Replication. The Veeam server is installed on a physical Windows server and also acts as the backup proxy.I would like to understand: In real-world environments, how much performance difference do you typically see between NBD (Network) mode and Direct SAN mode for backup and restore operations? Is the performance improvement significant enough to justify implementing Direct SAN access? How risky is it to present production VMware datastore LUNs to the Veeam server for Direct SAN access? What best practices do you follow to prevent accidental modification or corruption of production datastore LUNs when they are presented to the Veeam server? Looking forward to your suggestions. How do I create a recovery USB drive using Veeam Backup & Replication Console 13?The methods described online and by the “Veeam Intelligence” agent don’t work for me.  

Hello. I am a single user, and I have a Windows 11 Home mid-range gaming PC with a 1 terabyte internal SSD for personal use. I presently have Veeam Agent for Windows (free edition, can do only one job at a time). It was 176 megabytes. It backs up my filesystem to an external 1 terabyte mechanical hard disk. There are no virtual machines here. I figured out how to use Agent without problems. It works like a charm. Set and forget. I want to add a second job, being a whole-volume-to-external hard disk job. But the free version of Agent can’t do two jobs for free. In fact, I wouldn’t mind a third job, which is to backup my most sensitive files more often. I would buy a license for Agent, but they’re only available in the UK in packs of 5! I downloaded Backup & Replication Community Edition, which is 17.9 gigabytes. It is said to allow up to 10 jobs at once. It is obviously much more powerful and gargantuan than Agent. I can’t figure out how to use it. I do

Dear Veeam Community,I hope you can enlighten me.We have the goal to setup endpoint backups without the use of a vpn.We installed veeam b&r & cloud gateway on a test server so far.Now whe thought we could like generate an agent for a tenant and then install that agent to endpoints of this tenant to be able to backup files of the endpoint via the cloud gateway direkcly into the configured tenant backup repository.At this point we’ve tried a lot and I doubt that this will work the way we intended.It seems like the cloud gateway is used to connect different vbr servers and save their backups in a service providers repositories. But that wouldnt solve the problem that the customer needs an own vbr and a vpn to have a connection between his endpoints and his vbr server in order to back the endpoints up to the service provider. (Endpoint → Tenants VBR Server → Cloud Gateway → Service Providers Repositories)Is

Hello, I have got few vms removed from primary backup job - since these VMs are decommissioned, the copy jobs are configured with the primary job name - immediate copy , however these vms are not removed from the copy jobs even after the retention period, i can see these under backups ( disk copy ) option. Kindly advise

The case product is Veeam Backup & Replication version 12.1.2.172We copied data from a main Veeam repository to a secondary offsite Veeam repository for backup copy job seeding.The previous server that held the copy jobs was replaced after it died. Copied backups are visible under Home > Backups > Disk (Imported) on repository Backup copy job Map Backup dialog shows only the repository node and no selectable imported backup chains beneath it.Regular backup job Storage > Map backup dialog shows the imported backup chains are selectable, 

Ok guys, maybe I’m completely stupid.How do I upload a script file to /var/lib/veeam/scripts using console?I go to the Files tab and browse to the directory. I can edit, rename, delete files, create directories, but how do I simply upload a file!?ThanksLOL

Simple question, but I don’t think this is possible from reading up about this, there is a great video on migrating, but I think this assumes you still have the old VMWare infrastructure as well as your destination Hyper-V. So, the question is then, can you restore a full backup of a VMWare VM, onto Hyper-V? Assume pre-reqs like removing vmware tools are taken care of, but the actual conversion to Hyper-V can this be done without running your source VMW environment?

Hello Community, I'm experiencing an issue when trying to use VM Intelligence in Veeam version 13.0.2.29, both when deployed as a VSA Appliance and when installed on Windows.When accessing the feature, I receive the following error message:"Cannot verify the product license." both Backup servers are connect to the internet. What I find strange is that I am using a valid NFR Premium license with more than 300 days remaining before expiration.I have already verified that the license is correctly installed, and the issue occurs on both deployment types, which makes me think it could be related to a VM Intelligence licensing requirement, online license validation, or possibly a bug in version 13.0.2.29.Has anyone experienced this issue before or knows of any troubleshooting steps or solutions?Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hi all, I'm planning to deploy the Veeam Software Appliance and wondering — is it generally better to run it on physical hardware or as a virtual machine (e.g. on vSphere)?I know both are supported, but looking for real-world experience on pros/cons of each approach. I am not able to replace my Veeam Backup and Replication certificate with a new .pfx. When I try to install the .pfx from the Options->Security->Install menu in the B&R Console it returns an error “Certificate’s Private Key is Empty”. I have verified I created the .pfx correctly using OpenSSL and combining the .cer with the .key. I have verified the .key is in fact a private key and not a public key. I have verified the .pfx key permissions have the appropriate read/write for the Veeam service account to access the key. The .pfx certificate is good with a valid private key. Why can’t it be installed on Veeam Backup and Replication. In order for me to upgrade Veeam B&R from version 12 to version 13 I require a certificate with the Basic Constraints extension. I now have a certificate with Basic Constraints as a .pfx but I cannot install

Hi Community.  I am unable to resolve the above referenced issue.  This happened after an update to v13.  After the install, it worked for 2-3 days. I then started to configure my tape infrastructure and when I finished, I was prompted to reboot the server.  Now I can’t get back into the console.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Transaction logs are not able to start on DB servers, which could be the issue. Error: Failed to use DB:UpdateDirectBackupInfoIsOutOfSync in managed mode Case already been opened with Support. 

Hi guys, Yesterday we attempted to upgrade our VBR server from V12.3.2.4465 to V13.0.2.29 but were met with the below error during the installation process -  The upgrade failed and did not allow us to retry at all. Certain options were greyed out - Checking Apps and Features, Veeam reported that it was upgraded but the app was inaccessible. -   In the end, we were forced to back out of out upgrade.Has anyone seen this before? ShaunB.

We’re evaluating replacing out Windows VBR-servers with VSA, and I have set up a pilot machine. We need AD authentication to work for this, and I have joined the VSA to our domain.The main issue we have is that authentication is extremely slow and even if I can get “connected” pretty quick when I log in from the VBR-console, it can then take several minutes just to get past the splash screen. Even once logged in, I can get kicked out with some authentication error and “too many retries”. Also adding the AD-group to the “Veeam Administrator” role took forever and several retries. My strong suspicion is that SSSD used for this, is doing forest-wide queries, and since we are a huge company with many domains and trusts this is what takes time and causes timeouts. We’ve worked around this in other self-managed linux systems by using ldap as provider instead of “ad”, and limiting scope with ldap_serarch_base and filters, but not sure this is an option here, and pretty

We are no longer able to use the "Update All" function on our Veeam Hardened Repository, as it fails with an error related to the GPG key.To clarify, we do not have a Host Management Web UI or a Veeam Appliance deployment. Hi,I noticed that I have two running backup jobs since mid May and it appears they are stalled. From the same job I get success emails each day. It appears the backups job were running fine at the scheduled time. Kind of overlap.Maybe the stalled job are leftovers when I upgrade my VBR to 13. I’m not sure. I shutdown the server twice and the stalled jobs reappears. I can right click on it and press stop, but even after hours nothing happens.How can I get rid of the running instances? I enclose two screenshotsThanks,Edy
