I am happy to announce that my new book “Dell VxRail System Design and Best Practices” is available to pre-order on the amazon website now. This book contains the different topics, e.g. Veeam. You can pre-order at the link below if you are interested. Thanks to @Rick Vanover@NikolaPejkova approved me to join the Vanguard program in 2019, then I can learn the knowledge of Veeam products from this great community. And also thanks to @Chris.Childerhose recommendation for this book. This book will publish in Jan 2023.

In my company, we deploy VXRail infrastructures and backup them with Veeam.
Vxrail is based on vSan so I supposed you recommanded to used:

  • Virtual Proxies
  • One Proxie per host if necessary
  • DRS rules to stick each proxy to its hosts

In this way, data is read locally from the node without useless network traffic consumption.
