If you use Replication and convert a VM to template your job may fail.  See the following KB - KB1970: Replication job task fails with "Cannot process VM, template processing is disabled" (veeam.com)

I am going to start a PoC for my client. My client using Apache Cloudstack. any have any idea how can i do this using Veeam backup.Thnaks  

We have a location in the US where our VBR server in DE seem to have some connection issues sometimes. Latency and packet loss I see in smokeping is not that high, even better than for most of our other remote locations. Still we see errors like below in out backup and offload jobs for 2-3 VMs out of 35 on a daily base. The IP is the local proxy there. Processing xxxx Error: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 172.31.132.113:2508   First job retry is successful most of the time. Anyhow, I’d like to get rid of those errors. Support suggested to change following regkeys to adjust.ConnectByIPsTimeoutSecAgentStartTimeoutSec But this did not change anything. I think we need settings for retries not timeouts. Any other ideas? Network team already checked everything and did not

Failed to backup database SchoolDB. Error:  Error code: 0x80070005 Access denied. You must be logged in as a Windows administrator to create a virtual device. Failed to start VDI backup.  All conditions are met, veeam backup service account is apart of local admin group on sql server, requisite sssms server roles assigned to same service account etc What is causing this?

We’re trying to add a Proxmox server to Veeam, and are getting the “Failed to reach hypervisor” error message. I’ve been a long-time critic of Veeam’s lack of functionality and overall clunkiness compared to other software, mainly Acronis, but I am always looking for what situations any product might be best suited for, so I’m curious what everyone’s favorite things about Veeam are, especially if you migrated an environment to using Veeam from any other product, what product was it and what made Veeam the better choice?

We wish to run the replica on a different IP periodically to extract data from the VM.  Hence time and again I perform failover to replica using the RE IP options within Veeam and then undo the failover. Just checking if anyone has anyone automated failover and undo failover for a Veeam replica using Powershell.

We’re preparing to implement DRO in our org and I have a few best practices questions that maybe someone here could answer:Physical or VM? Is it possible to site DRO on the same server as Enterprise Manager? Hey Team, We use strictly hyper v server core hosts to house vms in the environment. I observed a few things?Veeam successfully creates repos both azure and lcoal Veeam successfully added all the hyperv host servers showing all vms under each Error code - 32774 - Performing a Hyper V Backup Type for a vm under any host to a local repo FAILS - i observe a “logon as a service” error then i am directed by veeam support to read - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/windows-server/virtualization/starting-or-live-migrating-hyper-v-vms-fails

Why Veeam doesn’t have such an option to delete Existing Snapshots from Veeam Console?  vCenter is connected with Veeam Console.

When creating the pve worker using a static IP, it fails saying i don’t have a valid DNS server, but it’s nowhere to be configured. Also, we use tagged vlans on the vmbrX interfaces, and it’s nowhere to be configured from veeam... 

Is there any best practices when implementing these two into work?Currently we have it setup as a SMB share folders and Veeam is sending backups to it.I did a little bit of research and saw that people are using ISCSI and connecting Synology drive to Windows Server and using it like that. As I can see they are using ReFS File System.What would be the best optimization when we have Veeam + Synology in our Environment.Veeam B&R and our main Synology are located in the same location within same subnet.After that main Backup is done we have a Backup Copy Job trough IPSec to our Branch Office where we also have Synology NAS with SMB share.With ISCSI I saw that people are using FastClone and I’m not familiar with it at all. Hi Team,Since few days ago I get this error message when run a job in Veeam for Microsoft 365: “JetError -1032, JET_errFileAccessDenied, Cannot access file, the file is locked or in use”And reposity state says “invalid”The repository is a SMB shared and I can access from Windows Explorar without any problem. Can you give me and advice could be the problem? I reinstalled the old SSD into the new computer. I renamed the PC. Hello Everone, what is the default retention policy applied by Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 Flex? I noticed this was not covered during the onboarding process or while configuring the backup policy. Is there a default retention period that is applied automatically? Where can we find or view this default setting in the interface or documentation? How can we modify or override it if needed? Thanks in advance for your assistance.
