Perhaps the Service Provider section of the R&D Forums is a better place to ask, but I figured I’d check here to see if anyone has an easy button for resetting MFA on an AD login specified by AD group for an Admin in the Service Provider Console. I reloaded my phone and the Duo app didn’t import my 3rd party MFA logins. Fortunately, I have other admin logins I can use.So far what I’ve gotten is that you have to apparently use the REST API (which seems silly to me if that’s the case, feature request coming up…..) because the user only exists in an AD group that was specified for access. While I’m not great with API’s, the the Swagger UI should make things easier. That said, I haven’t yet figured out how to authenticate with Swagger using an account that has MFA enabled. I might be able to get it once I get past that hump. I was hoping that if I disabled the MFA requirements, I could log in and reset MFA from the user access, but it appears to prompt for MFA once enrolled even if
Hi everybody!I would like to share will all of you a little story,For almost a year, we were doing this "none written" rule, and it's being adopted by the whole department:"READ-ONLY MONDAYS"Tired of deploying things and changing production things on Mondays, tired after the weekend, and many people coming back to the office with tons of issues, after working from home on Fridays, we took this decision so we were able to fix and take care of the "after the weekend" issues, not adding extra failure points to the day.Now we are thinking of improving this rule to Mondays and Fridays! What do you think?Do you have any "none written" rules you would like to share? Many thanks.
Hi Folks, Calling all Micro$oft Office wizards out there! What is the best way to embed CLI commands in a word doc? One so that it does not capitalize things or change the -- into one line? I think you can create a text box or something but cumbersome. There must be a better way! cheers
Hi,we have 4 different backup priorities and vCenter Tags which our VMs are assigned to. Now i would like to implement 3 different vCenter Tags for application-aware processing options. Unfortunatly i can’t remove the Prio4 Tag from aap settings, because it’s used for default. Whats happens if a VM has assigned 2 Tags in aap options? Is there some kind of hierarchy which option will be used? What would be best practise in this case?
HI,We are doing a POC on client with all instalation parameters OK. Using B&R 11 to backup Physical Workstations Windows 10 Pro is installed VEEAM shows Microsoft Windows 11 (Next, 64-bit, Technical Preview) and brings a warning.
The workstation is in a Protection Group and Agent Version 18.104.22.16808 is installed. The workstation was added over the Active Directory and the AD shows Windows 10 Professional is installed. I also logged into the workstation and yes indeed Windows 10 Professional is installed. Windows 11 is blocked from installing in our Network using a GPO and the Workstation was not upgraded to Windows 11 and then reset back to Windows 10.Its been showing the warning since Tuesday. Removing it from the Protection Group and re-adding it does not help.

As always run it on a test VM while you are watching it, but this script will power down, modify the CPU and/or Memory on a VM, then power it back up. This has been VERY handy for Changing resources on my VMs after hours. Like adding memory to a Veeam Virtual proxy server after a backup window ends. While I borrowed most of the script from the internet, there wasn’t much about running as a scheduled task which was can cause confusion to many people from what I read. Here is a few tips to run the PowerShell script as a scheduled task. Step 1, Use the script below to create a PS1 file. I named mine VM_MEMORY_CPU_COUNT_HQ.PS1 Keep in mind the name and location when you add the arguments below.Step 2, Create a scheduled task in windows at specified time. Step 3, set action to run a program. You don’t want to run the script, you want to run Powershell.exeexample - C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe Step 4, Configure the options\arguments. I put 0 if I want no

Hello everyone! So, last week we have our first VUG of the year. It was a such good webinar that the principal subject was around the best features about data protection. If it weren't good enough, we still had the presence of none other than @Rick Vanover and @Kseniya. To start the event Rick and Kseniya talk about our Veeam Community Resource Hub and after this, they introduced how Veeam Legends works and what is the benefits to become a Legend. It was so nice listen them and I felt myself so counfortable with their words. Rick and Kseniya look like Batman and Robin of Veeam because they are very much involved one with other about Veeam Community. Seriously both of you are awesome!! After this amazing introduce we start our event completely in portuguese and @CarlosXGomes talked about backup of Office 365. Continuing with VUG Brazil Marcio Freitas made a perfect presentation about NAS Backup and all possible subjects around of this theme. So, to finish it Leonardo Ferreira talked
Happy Friday everyone! I was having a chat with @regnor yesterday and we were getting a bit sarcastic about the gap between new products and how long it takes for them to have a proper data protection option available (Teams Chat API is a great example of this!). So I thought this might be a bit of Friday Fun.I want you to market data loss, like it’s a good thing! Whoever’s gets the most likes is the funniest and wins being the “answer” to the question (for those sweet sweet community points!) Scenario: You’ve just lost all your company data and you’re about to tell the board, what do you say? Example: “You know last month I was complaining about our tech debt? Well… it’s gone now!” Now your turn! And be as silly as you like, it’s fun Friday after all!!! 😁
Hey folks, Just had a quick call with Kasten to help me find the issue with my snapshotting. The issue was not a Kasten problem. Kasten’s great tool Kubestr that I posted about here earlier told me that I had a problem which I immediately saw when trying to run a backup with Kasten. In a quick call Kasten support very efficiently found the issue with my snapshot controller.. or lack of it for some strange reason, and we downloaded the manifests again, problem solved.. Just thought that I had to mention this since great support makes our lives so much easier!!
