Windows: "OK" button blocked to save the Proxy modification or configuration

How To file level backup from virtual system to tape ?

Actually, we are using tape infrastructure and want to take file level backup to tape. we tried to create file to tape job, but no luck. we reflected only Veeam server in source option. why does not show virtual infra in source tab or any other system/ server? No need backup of Veeam serverHow to take virtual infra file level backup on tape?Please suggest

Tape backup prompts that the backup data does not exist

Host backup is a day backup, which runs a tape backup after the backup is completed; But today I found out that all the backup days of the tape were for the backup data on July 31st, but it prompted that the backup data did not exist. I don't know why the data on July 31st was backed up. I saw that the backup tape number on July 31st in the tape backup record is empty

veeamdeployer named containers on Azure storage account

Hi Community. I have an Azure storage account I am no longer using as a repository for VBAz policies. I was going to delete the account until I noticed there are three containers named “veeamdeployer<random>”, and each container contains the same 3 files: veeamDeploymentdll.dll, veeamDeploymentSvc.exe, and veeamNetworkRedirector.exe. Does anyone know if these containers and files are needed now that I’m well beyond deployment into Azure? Thank you.

Agent deployment issue - VBR Community edition

Hi,I’m experiencing issues with deploying VBR Agent on 2 Domain Joined Workstations using VBR 12.2.0.334 Community Edition.I know that I am on my own here, but maybe someone has a good idea what could cause the problem.When I try to install the client from the VBR console, it fails with the error: 25-09-2024 17:30:10 Failed Unable to install backup agent: failed to connect to COMPUTER1 Error: Cannot find package version for component EpAgent package Msi platform X86. I can install the agent manually, but that doesn't help either. VBR can see the computer in the console and get’s the OS edition (Windows 10 Pro 22H2) and IP address.Thanks in advance, Bjorn Dirchsen

Backup Azure Key Vault

Every once in a while, someone asks me to protect an Azure workload that does have the most direct approach available for it in a Veeam product. Today I’ll focus on Azure Key Vault, but I’ll see if I can broaden the scope a bit over time with future posts. Why backup Azure Key VaultAzure Key Vault is used as a source to manage anything from encryption scopes on Azure Storage to allowing customer managed keys for services, storing public/private key pairs, custom secrets, and certificates. Losing Azure Key Vault contents could pose a serious problem, but exporting data out for backup purposes could also create quite some risk – thankfully backup jobs allow data encryption. Soft deleteAzure Key Vault comes with soft delete, allowing recovery of deleted vaults and deleted objects (keys, secrets and certificates). Once an object is deleted the default recovery period is 90 days, unless the object is purged entirely. This should be your first line of defense. BackupAzure Key Vault comes wit

CDP setup with VMware vCloud Director incompatible storage policy

We have an existing Veeam environment as a service provider and using Cloud Connect. With this we currently host cloud backups and replication for tenants, which works fine. We also have VMware vCloud Director integrated. We are just now implementing CDP into this same environment. When CDP is installed into the environment, Veeam creates a new storage policy in vSphere named “Veeam CDP Replication”. This storage policy has a requirement defined to “enable host based rules”, and the single rule that is enabled is “Replication” and Provider veecdp, which is the I/O filter name. For reasons I cannot work out as of yet, this storage policy will only see one of our datastores as compatible, and this datastore happens to be the local direct attached storage of one of the ESXi hosts in the cluster, not storage on both hosts. All other datastores show as incompatible. Our other datastores that I would like to use are NFS volumes on Linux hosts. I have set this up in a lab and demo envi

Feature Request: Develop Integration with secondary storage arrays for Infinidat/Infinibox

We are further developing some of our DR test plans and are exploring the options of using Veeam to restore VMs from the Infinidat storage snapshots. During testing at our primary site, we can successfully restore individual VMs from the primary storage snapshots on our Inifnidat. These storage snapshots are also replicated to the Infinidat secondary storage array at our DR site. We’d like to be able to use Veeam to restore individual VMs from the replicated storage snapshots on the Infinidat secondary storage array. Our reps at Infinidat advised us to contact Veeam to get this request on record and I opened case #07375492 with Veeam. Veeam support advised that this feature was not yet supported and recommended that I start here with a feature request. I appreciate any advice or information you can provide. Thank you.
